Few names are as recognizable in offshore sport fishing as Peter Miller. An Emmy-nominated television host and three-time World Sailfish Champion, Miller has established a legendary reputation on the water. Currently the host of Uncharted Waters on Discovery, he’s played a pivotal role in more than 120 high-profile tournament wins, establishing his position as an elite offshore angler. Beyond the accolades, Miller is a dedicated conservationist and lifelong boater who understands precisely what to demand from a vessel. In this exclusive Q&A, we interviewed the Invincible Ambassador to examine why he trusts our boats to handle the most demanding conditions beyond the horizon.
What initially drew you to Invincible?
“Invincible commands respect within the fishing industry, and I recognized that immediately. My boating journey began on smaller boats, and over the years, I have operated a variety of different platforms. I had always sought to experience Invincible, specifically the catamarans. I made the transition, beginning with a 35′ Catamaran, which delivered exceptional performance, before advancing to the 37′ Catamaran. Now, with a family, I have moved to the 43′ Open Fisherman for its comfortable console capabilities. After years of operating different center consoles, Invincible remains my definitive choice.”
How does the boat perform when conditions get rough?
“The stability is unmatched, particularly regarding the beam on the catamarans. I fish alone frequently, often drifting with my beam sea. On the 37′ Cat, now the new-and-improved 38′ Catamaran, you have a 12-foot beam that barely moves, creating an exceptionally stable platform. I recall one specific trip to The Bahamas with eight people fully loaded. We executed a 240-mile run in 5-to-7-foot seas. Conditions were demanding, but the boat cut through the head sea with remarkable performance and comfort. We maintained optimal cruising speed and completed the crossing in a day. It was one of my most memorable experiences because the ride quality was absolutely unmatched for those conditions. I had never experienced anything like it.”

What features consistently impress your guests?
“When people step aboard for the first time, they immediately recognize the build quality. They appreciate the sleek lines and the substantial construction of the tower legs. The practical features stand out as prominently as the aesthetics. Guests are consistently impressed by the lounger coolers and fish boxes that maintain ice seemingly forever. The pump boxes fill multiple wells efficiently, and the storage is comprehensive. Whether it’s the Queen-sized berth in the 43′ Open Fisherman or the view from the tower, everyone recognizes the boat’s capabilities immediately. To me, it represents a combination of performance, luxury, and intelligent design.”
What advice would you give someone building their first Invincible?
“I recommend listing the features you want on your dream boat, then consulting with the Invincible team or your local dealer. They will build you what you want, but also share their unbiased expertise and help you get to the perfect platform for your lifestyle. I can only speak to the layout that fits my particular aquatic pursuits, but here it goes: Don’t overlook the windlass anchor system. As I advance in years, I value not having to pull an anchor manually, and it makes boating with family significantly more enjoyable. I also recommend selecting the joystick piloting and maximum fuel capacity—it is superior to have the power and range available rather than lacking it when needed. Finally, consider forward seating; it functions as an excellent step for fighting fish from the bow. These are merely my suggestions—but go into the process knowing that any layout you choose will give you performance, comfort, offshore fishability, and an incredible fit and finish. See you out on the water.”
