Twenty years ago, a simple conviction reshaped the center-console category: never settle. In 2006, in Miami, Florida, Invincible Boats was founded on that principle, and it changed offshore boating for good. Two decades later, we mark our 20th anniversary not only by looking back on what we’ve achieved, but also by looking ahead to how far we can go.
From day one, our mission has been clear: lead through innovation, engineering, and design to advance offshore performance. Here’s how the last 20 years took shape, and where we’re headed next.
Where It All Started
It began with one boat: the 36′ Open Fisherman. Launched in 2006, it introduced a new standard for offshore capability and immediately set us apart. The difference wasn’t luck. It was engineering and design.
We partnered with naval architect Michael Peters of Michael Peters Yacht Design, whose championship-winning pedigree shaped our signature stepped hull. Architect-backed design delivers what serious owners demand:

- Quality: Precision that comes from proven naval architecture, not guesswork.
- Reliability: Consistent performance in tough conditions.
That first 36′ proved the concept. From there, the Open Fisherman line grew to serve every serious pursuit—expanding across a range of lengths from compact center consoles to flagship offshore platforms. Each new model carried the same DNA forward: uncompromising design built to be pushed to the limit.
Revolutionizing the Catamaran Segment
When Invincible entered the center-console catamaran market, we didn’t come to compete. We came to revolutionize the category.
Most catamarans force a trade-off between stability and speed. We refused to accept that. To solve it, we partnered with naval architect Pete Melvin of Morrelli & Melvin—a firm renowned for engineering dominant multihull vessels, including America’s Cup–level design work.
Melvin engineered a proprietary, patented semi-asymmetric catamaran hull that delivers what other cats could not:
- Stability at rest and underway, even during high-speed turns.
- Speed and efficiency, through the toughest seas.
- A soft, dry ride, keeping you comfortable on long offshore runs.
The result was a fleet center console catamarans that redefined expectations.
